I want to subscribe to podcasts so i can get them automatically to my fascinate. the thing is that when i downloaded google listen and google reader it totally screwd up my phone my music player no longer recognized my music files that i had on my sd card so it said i had mo songs. and my gallery couldnt find my pictures. i got VZW to swap out my phone AND my sd card. and now it's working fine but i don't want to swrew it up again. is there anyother app i can use?

I used to use isyncr and manually connect to my Mac, but since that option was taken away with the most recent OTA update, I use mypod. the UI is a little complicated for my tastes, but it works pretty well.
I found google listen was terrible for actually finding podcasts. sort of ironic, actually.

I like beyondpod, it has great scheduling and bandwidth controls. Have also heard good things about doggcatcher. I also hated google listen.

I use podtrapper, it's a paid app but given how much i listen to podcasts it was worth it to me to spend the 8 bucks or whatever it was. Great at finding, tracking, downloading, and eventually purging podcasts. A++ all the way.

i use doggcatcher all the time, works wonderfully, honestly never heard of beyondpod but i guess i'll have to check it out now

If your interested in streaming them I really like stitcher. Mediafly is good and has video ones too, but seems to drain the battery much faster even when playing ones I downloaded.

I use DoubleTwist and subscribe through my computer then download to the phone. I haven't yet purchased the app so that I can use the wireless sync.

I'll have to check out the beyondpod...

Doggcatcher is my podcast app. It works flawlessly. Downloads straight to phone. Stitcher is a good way to stream podcasts.

Another vote for dog catcher. Once you get used to the UI it is a breeze.

The only thing I miss from listen was the ability to listen to the podcast while downloading it.

Other than that great app.

I use beyondpod. It is a free trial and $10 to buy.
I hate buying apps in fact this is the only one I ever bought.
It syncs with google reader.
I really like it

I use a stitcher and google listen. Google listen is cool because you can manage your podcasts in google reader. Stitcher is great for streaming. and they just released an update were you can listen to back episodes. I'll be try it out doggcatcher now

Beyondpod

I LUV Beyondpod. I am an avid podcast listener; I listen to several podcasts everyday. I used Beyondpod for free on Windows Mobile for years, and did not hesitate to pay for it on Android. You can import feeds directly from Google Reader. You can organize your feeds into categories (Tech podcasts, news, money, etc) and download by category.

I prefer Beyondpod to Podtrapper which is a great app with a responsive developer. I have never used Doggcatcher which also gets great reviews. I bought Beyondpod instead of Doggcatcher because I was already familiar with Beyondpod. And, because it didn't look like Doggcatcher would let me sync with Google Reader.
