How can I tell if I need screen replaced or digitzer etc Galaxy Note 4

dropped phone after taking it out of it's case
screen cracked, touch screen works, audio ,video , S pen etc


Can I get away with just replaced screen ?
which I think I can do myself

Welcome to Android Central! If the screen still registers touch normally, then it's probably the glass that needs to be replaced. Look at this video:

yes it does just a bit annoying
I'll make sure they have the Note S4 screen

Yes, you should be able to get away with just replacing the glass. It's not a risk-free process, however. I have a friend who does electronic design and assembly work. He dropped his Note 2 and shattered the glass. He finally got sick of it and got a new sheet of glass. He was very careful, followed all the instructions, had all the right tools, and still managed to break the digitizer.
