Android Central Question

I had my Gear S2 synced to my phone and the phone was stolen. Its not possible to get my contacts off the phone, no google sync or anything like that, but they're all on the watch. Short of writing down/re-entering hundreds of contacts, can I transfer them from the watch? Any help would be amazing, THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Export the contacts. Use the file that's generated to import all of them into whatever phone you have, making sure that it's on the same Google account you're going to use (and the same one the S2 is on) - but when asked, import TO your Google account. Make sure Contacts sync is on for the Google account. (The contacts on the S2 may duplicate. If that happens, go offline with the S2, delete all the contacts, then go online again and it should sync from Google.)

(Don't worry about the security of contacts kept on Google - they're fussbudgets about security. Those who can access your data wouldn't [I've been in that situation - if the data gets corrupted, you fix it, but you don't remember any of it when you go on to the next job - there's not enough time to remember things], and those who might, don't have access to it. But keeping your contacts on Google saves you the problem you're having now. As I always say, you can't recover data from a stolen or destroyed phone.)
