How can I transfer data from my Nexus 5 to the Galaxy s6?

From what I have read so far using the PC for this seems to be the best approach but not sure what app to use for this.

Hi and welcome to Android Central.

What data are you talking about? Personally I leave all my photos in google cloud storage. Contacts, emails and calender I sync down from the Web. I find this much easier than moving from one phone to the other.
