How can I transfer Excel files on my S3 Samsung onto my desktop Windows 7

Kies 3 doesn't appear to save .doc & .xlsx.

You would just plug the phone in, it will show up as a media device, and then just use Windows File Explorer (AKA My Computer) to browse your phone, find the files, and drag/drop or copy/cut/paste them to your computer as if it were a flash drive.
