How can I update my tablet?

I have an at&t trek 2 hd tablet. When I check for updates it has storage card update and when I go to at&t software update it says it's up to date. My current version is 6.0.1 and I really want to update it. Is there any way to do so?

Welcome to Android Central! If the Software Update menu option tells you there aren't any updates, then there are no official updates from AT&T. These carrier-specific tablets often are slow to get updates, if at all.
