How can I use a Sprint Samsung Galaxy S5 on the WalMart Family Mobile Network?"

In February 2016 I will qualify for an upgrade to my Sprint Samsung Galaxy S5. I'm thinking of changing devices. If I do change I will have a spare S5 hanging around. My wife uses a Samsung Galaxy S3 on her WalMart Family Mobile account but REALY LIKES my S5. Is is possible to configure my Sprint S5 for use on the WalMart Family Mobile network? If so, what is the process? (Get an unlock code from Sprint?, unlock the S5?, buy a Walmart Family Mobile SIM for the S5?, contact Walmart Family Mobile to transfer her existing phone number to the new phone?)

Is there anyone out here who can speak to having successfully done this?

The Sprint model of Galaxy S5, G900P, is a CDMA network phone and the Walmart Family Mobile network, (an MVNO of T-Mobile), is, I believe, GSM. Therefore, whilst 2G and 3G should be fine, the 4G/LTE will not. See, Will My Phone Work?
