i want to find a convienient way to view pictures that are sorted in hieratical structure.

for example, if i sort pictures according to time like picture/2019/01/a.png, is there a way that i can select folder 2019 and see all pictures in that folder at once.

notice that it's not necessarily catgorized by time, so sort by date is not always useful. sort by file path may do the trick, but i haven't found any app has such function.

is there any photo gallery app that suits my need?

i'm registered now. didn't find a reply button so i guess I'd just reply here. That device folders isn't really helpful. In the situation I described above only folder '01' is available while i want folder '2019'

tried before, in folder gallery i can choose '2019' but the only thing in it would be 12 subfolders, still need to dig in to '01' to see the pictures

now i found a gallery app named Simple Gallery that can do this in a not very convenient way, this app can configufe included path and excluded path for gallary, if i exclude root path and then only include path i want, it will show all image under that path

Developing a "recursively search all subdirectories and pull out all files matching mask" isn't a trivial task, and most Android app "developers" aren't real developers, they use "app making apps" to "make" apps. (Even in Windows, until Microsoft developed an API to help with something like that, it was a daunting job.)
