How can you remove slide to unlock and use fingerprint ID unlock?

Any update on this issue? I have tried all troubleshooting tips given with no resolve. At this point the only way to not have the slide lock screen with advertising (annoying) is to disable the lock screen. This is not a very secure process and I find this to be a major glitch with the phone. I either have to have no security or get advertisements and go through 1 more unnecessary step to open my phone. The other issue is not being able to root the phone to resolve this issue as well. Samsung should do something about this!
You have ads on your lock screen?

Ever since I hooked up my moto watch, it started requiring the Swype and fingerprint also.

Thanks a bunch for this post. Im not sure how it got turned on but the google lock under trusted agents fixed this for me.

Thanks again

You know what I realized with this? I have the fingerprint lock set up Hut have my Moto 360 and home as trusted device/location. You have to swipe from the middle of the screen. I was swiping from the actual lock icon which would then require me to use my fingerprint. Hope this helps you, I felt so silly after I figured it out.

The Google Smart lock was/is the problem with the padlock being enabled before you can use the fingerprint unlock. Cheers and thanks for the info.

P.S. I should note that I am/was having this problem on my S6 and my sons Note 5. This fixed both.

That lock icon is caused be a trusted device being connected. To remove it you have to disable the unlock when connected to a trusted device.

I had the same problem, and finally figured it out. I don't think it is working as intended, and might just be a bug.

Hope that helps.

Do this help me out so much because my phone I have a Galaxy S6 Edge Plus it was unlocking even with a security system on it all I have to do is slide that icon up and it would unlock what exactly does that trusted thing mean what exactly is it

My phone wasn't even secured right just figured this out and I turn off the trusted device thing in the settings but my phone was completely not safe

Are you using a 3rd party launcher? If so it may have its own lock screen setting? But if yer running stock or a launcher that doesn't have its own lock screen, then those instructions are correct. It should look like this.

Under screen lock type mine says PIN/fingerprints. Because pin is my backup... How is yours just Fingerprints?

Do you, by any chance, have the jewel stars game installed in your phone? That caused this 2nd unlock screen for me. Their recent update created this mess so I uninstalled the app. People are already complaining about it in the play store.
