How come date stamp is not a standard feature on phones?

I can't believe this phone doesn't allow to set your pics with date stamp. It's a small feature, but it goes a long ways. At least for me it does. And the apps available with date reduce the pic quality to crap. Oh well.

There is a date stamp, it's just hidden. If you go into the gallery and select a picture and click on the three dot drop down menu, go down to details. This is the EXIF data and it's stored on each and every picture

Now that you mention it. A date stamp would be a nice little on/off feature.

Your welcome. I personally love EXIF data because sometimes my girlfriend and I take pictures of the same thing (we both have m8's) and it's interesting to me to see the iso value and exposure time chosen by each device.
