How did my native calendar deleted all events overnight?

Overnight my native calendar on my Huawei p10 lite deleted all events, past and future. I haven't touched anything, nor updated. How can it just wipe clean, and is there any way I can get my data back?

Welcome to Android Central! Were the events saved only to the local Phone account, or were they saved to your Google Calendar account? To see if the latter was the case, go to calendar.google.com on your computer browser and see if any of the events are there.
