How did the My Emoji Stickers icon end up on my Galaxy S10?

Ah, I understand. U thought you meant it was just in there as an app in general.

Well, consider this your warning then lol, if you download it, it'll be on your phone permanently.
It's an update....it's 2.0 and part of the existing AR features in the camera except now accessable outside the camera. I'm not concerned. I'll probably use them on occasion

Can't be disabled because it's part of the already-included AR software included, in turn, in the camera. They just created a separate 'locker' for creating/managing these outside of the camera app.
Exactly....that's why it's 2.0

I don't have it on my phone. Must be only a certain carrier forcing it to be installed.

I have two S10+, one is running the T-Mobile firmware, the other the unlocked firmware, both on the May update. Both are AT&T unlocked on T-Mobile.
You might not have gotten it yet. It's not a carrier feature but it may need carrier approval before it gets installed

It's in the camera app on both of my phones. I was going by someone above who said it was in the app drawer.
Understood...the new version allows you to use it outside the camera. They may have also added some stamps.

I hid the app along with some others.

Firmware and software updates are different because that app appeared after a Samsung software update. The My Emoji Stickers just showed up on my phone. I guess it updated overnight without me giving it permission. I have my phone set to not install updates but to notify me there are updates before installing anything.

complaining about something you knew about? how do you know about it if it hasn't appeared in your app drawer and when it does you can't remove it? you can hide it but it's the fact that it's forced on you. some people don't like emojis and I'm one of those some people.

Nothings forced on you. Buy another product. Most phones have bloat and crap you don't want. It's not that big of a deal. Plenty of choices.

you are right. when an app you don't want on your phone is installed during an update isn't being forced on you. Got it.

Though I understand your point in this particular circumstance it's not much being added because the app is update to an existing app which was integrated into the camera. They updated it to provide access to the emojis externally for additional utilization. It doesn't take take up significant room that it should impact anyone's experience. I do fully understand your frustration though.
