How did this dodgy "Software Update" notification appear?

I recently received a similar, highly suspicious update notification. Samsung Note 5, on Hong Kong network 1010.
Most assuredly, I have NOT pressed "OK".

I mean really, if it is legit, can't a company this size/budget manage to spell-check?

That is a genuine and legitimate update notification from Samsung to update your firmware to the PD1 release for your Note 5 which is on Hong Kong firmware. I can see no spelling errors!
 
I got the same thing recently and fell for it sadly, and I think it gave me a virus. I reset my tablet to factory settings, and it didn't show up anymore.
