How do convert a DVD movie to a file that my Evo will recognize?

My favorite program for converting is Slysoft CloneDVDMobile, if you don't have a program to decrypt dvds already, you will also need that. Slysoft AnyDVD does it very nicely.

This apps are not free, but are very worth the money (or can be found online i'm sure)

As for a player for the phone, i've found that rock player 檔案 - RockPlayer | Google 網上論壇 will play almost anything thrown at it, it's currently in public beta

I use Handbrake with the iPhone render setting. Works great for me and is completely free! Does batch rendering too (from my Bluray MKV rips)

I have had great success using 'DVD Shrink' to decrypt, and 'Handbrake' to convert DVD's for my EVO. The quality is excellent.

Both of these apps are free.

dvd shrink crashes on many recent dvds, but when it works it's good quality.

Just Google DVD to iPod Software and you will find a ton of different ones and they usually give you a short "TRIAL" period... I use Curusoft DVD to iPod software and the files work perfectly fine on my EVO as well as my old iPhone and my daughters iPod touch....

It's $40 but I found it well worth it over the past few years... I have a 7 and 5 year old at home and I copy all their Disney, Barney, Spongebob movies to the computer and then they either watch them from the computer or I can put them on a memory stick and plug it into my TV (multiple movies on one memory stick) and they can watch them with out destroying the DVD's (Which kids are great at)

Once I got my EVO I moved a few movies over... The only ones that DON'T work are the digital copies that are copy protected and downloaded through iTunes.... Copies of the DVD are always fine...

That is pretty much all you need. It is free, unless you want it to add a couple of features and speed to the process. It is extremely easy to use. Since I like it so much, I bought the full version just to support the developer.

If all you are trying to do is convert a DVD movie to a digital file you can watch on your Evo, this is it.

DO you need a video on the EVO to play movies? On the Pre i would just convert using Handbrake and dump them on the phone as a mp4 and they would play.

Yep. Handbrake! It works great from DVD to mp4 to play on any Android phone.

I bought magic dvd copier and ripper last year for 50.00....
I set it to ipod touch and it outputs mp4's which are great!

if you have the files just drag and get Mobo player to play all files. its my back up until vlc is finally released.

you may neefd the help of dvd ripper, you should know which kinds of video format that you eov support and covert dvd file to it. as to this, leawo dvd ripper is a good one.
