How do I add multiple phone numbers to one contact on the Samsung Note 5?

I can’t add a second phone number to a saved contact on edit mode. I have a Samsung J3

A work around for this (even if they're saved to SIM) is to add a new contact with the same name and new number, then open the contact details, tap on the menu button and "Link Contact" this allows you to merge contacts
