How do I change my build number back to what is was before the update?

I want to change my build number back to what is was before the update

I have a DL700 that is the alcatel OTP c3 4033a. There has been one update since 2014 summer that basically updates the build number. I am unable to use some of the apps I used before. Is there any way I can change this?
android version:4.2.2
baseband version: 6572
kernel version: 3.4.5
original build number: 01001
current build number: 01003

The only effect you see is the build number. It changes things in the ROM. The change in build number is to indicate which things you have.

To change back, flash the old ROM.
