Changing out SD card

In preparation for a trip abroad, I want to switch out my current SD card to a higher-capacity one.

1. Looking under SD Memory Card in My Files, I opened all the files and can't find anything inside them. Is it OK to simply unmount and remove the current SD card and insert the new one?

2. Would it be better to copy the empty files to my laptop and then copy them back to the new card, just in case there's something I missed?

3. Anything special I need to do after the new one is inserted?

Thx

Re: Changing out SD card

What kind of files are they? That they are all empty is a little odd.

What version is this? You may or may not be able to see what's in those directories with that program (permissions thing). Pop the card out and check it on a PC...
