How do I clear google search history from showing in the search bar?

The history won't delete on the search bar. It still saying I visited a certain site. Can someone help?

Welcome.

Go into Accounts & Sync.
Tap Google.
Tap Search.
Tap Accounts & privacy.
You can adjust settings and history there.

I've tried that but two sites won't go away. Don't know how to remove them.

Wacky.
Go into Settings.
Tap Apps/Applications.
Go to All.
Find Google Search and tap Clear cache and Clear data.

See if that works.

What you should do is long-press the individual search item that you want deleted. A popup box will appear offering to 'Remove from search history'. Just press 'ok' to remove the search item in question.
