How to correct the swipe screen issue in samsung s4 with lollipop

After lollipop upgrade, the swipe screen doesn't work the first time, I have to swipe atleast 3-4 time, then it blacksout for a while and then the apps appear...this was never the case when I had jellybean

Try a Cache Partition wipe, good practice after an update.
