How do I create and save group recipients in Textra on the Note 4?

I am currently using and liking and learning Textra for texting on my new Note 4.
Can someone give me a step by step to create and save a compilation of recipients to be used for group messaging? IOW, I want to have, for example, a group of Betty, Fran, John, Bill, Steph and Mary, but save that group as "Work 1" so that I only have to enter W in the recipients line and the Ws in my contacts comes up, including Work 1, thus making all of those people recipients.

Textra links to your Contacts for groups. So to create "Work 1" go to your contacts, press the group icon:

Then press the add group icon in the top right corner:

You'll arrive here:

Name your group, add the members, assign a default contact icon and ring tone, message tone, etc.

In Textra, press new message:

then in the top left press the group icon:

After that, you will see the group tab. Press that and locate your group:

After that compose your message.

About the best you can do, as far as I can tell, is make a new group in Contacts. Make those people part of that group. In Textra, when you're creating a new text, press the "people" icon, go to Groups (to the left of Contacts at the top) and choose that group. Not exactly 1 touch, but not too many touches. (The search function when you start typing in a recipient seems to work only on contacts, not groups. It's something to email them about, though - to show both the contacts and the groups that start with what you're typing.)

I am with AT&T and using Textra. There appears to be a 10 person limit to Group texting.... I have 12 people in my Group...it just won't send the text thru. Are there any work-arounds?
