How do I create my own watchface

I've had a Pebble for almost a year. It's easy to create an ad hoc watchface in about 2 minutes using this site. Is there such a simple method for the Moto 360?

I make a handful of watchfaces per week including UCLA watchfaces.

Facer seems like a great app. I am downloading it right now and see what it can do. I hope I can create at least custom background (including minute marks) because I want to make my own in Adobe Illustrator.

This is great tutorial on how to create custom faces from scratch in AI. Once you have a template (hour marks + face), you can do all kinds of stuff in AI.

Personally, I would not spend much time on custom watch faces right now. Supposedly Google is releasing an API shortly that will support an official way to do custom watch faces and at that time it would seem that that would render all the current methods obsolete.

Oh give me a break...that api will be for android developers, not end users. There will still be a place in the future for apps like wearfaces and wear picture watch, the devs of those apps will simply need to update them to use the new api.

API will simply make it easier to "import" the faces and perhaps give user an option to change colors. If you truly want a one of a kind face, you gotta do it from scratch. I have the tools (AI and PS) and it's super easy but unfortunately I am no artist and can only copy basic designs.
