Android Central Question
I have a Pixel and would like to customize the following behavior:
When I get a call from a non-contact or non-starred contact, it vibrates but does not ring.
When I get a call from a starred contact, it rings.
When I set up do not disturb, it screens calls entirely unless they call twice (as I have that option enabled). I want to know when I get calls. I just don't want my phone to make noise.
I attempted this fix:
I set my phone ringtone to a silent tone (via a ringtone app) and then set the contacts I wanted to hear from to audible ringtones.
Okay. Works great. But there's one problem: the Find My Device service uses the default ringtone (wow that's dumb) so the next time I needed to find my device, it made no noise.
Any help would be much appreciated.
