how to delete duplicate icons on Samsung Galaxy Core lte

I have ended up with duplicate icons for apps on the apps screen. I can't delete them

So if you long-press one and slide it up to 'Remove', does that not do it?

If you do that from a home screen, it will return the icon to the app drawer screens, but if you do it from an app drawer screen, it should delete the icon.
