how can i stop sinc of accounts in my nexus5.it produces monstrous duplicates and fills the account list.

Welcome to Android Central! Do you only have one Google account syncing to your phone? Go to Settings>Accounts-Google, and see how many accounts are listed there.

Also, do you have any other apps or accounts syncing contacts with your phone, like Yahoo Mail, Facebook, etc.?
