How do I delete my forum account?

I no longer wish to use the forums any longer, so I would like to delete my account.

You can't, it's like everything else on the internet, it's a one way deal

Just like Hotel California... you can check out any time you like, but you can never leave

Well that does not suprise me. I have found this to be a difficult forum to navigate. Searching is so bad it does not find anything related to my search criteria.
I am a member of many other forums and i do not have problems navigating through them, but this forum has me beat.
It probably provides a lot of useful imformation to many people but I can not work out how to find that information.
