How do I disable screen -w- lock scr bar?

Hi...I am just purchased My Hero so I am a newbie & learning.My question is when the phone goes into sleep mode & then I hit power key the phone first goes to a screen with the Lock Screen Bar then I scroll the screen to get to the main screen...My question is: how do I disable the first screen with the Lock Screen bar?.....Thanks!!

You dont. You either slide it down or press menu twice.

there's an app for Droid (free in market) called mylock - it disables the lock screen. Check that out and see if it works on your device.

That would be nice but there isn't an application like that available for the Hero in the Android market.

too bad. I thought that just maybe it would work with your device. Oh well.

you can try lockbot. You still have to unlock the screen but, you can pick what it looks like.

One recommendation that might help is to change the timeout. I know that doesn't get around the locking portion, but it was the first thing I did.

Also, like Dark recommends, use the menu button twice to unlock, that became my way of unlocking...
