How do I empty the Bin? Or is it automatic (unlike windows)?

Hello,
As a noob, simple questions of operations puzzle me still...
for instance, when Android says it is moving what I trash to the Bin, does that mean that I have to then "take out the garbage" as in Windoze?
Where and How do I empty the Bin?
Or is it automatically destroyed after "x" time?

There is no bin, persa, in Android. It really depends on what you are deleting, from where, and how. For example if you are deleting pics from the gallery, there is a short window where you can undo the delete and there are a couple of apps that claim to be able to recover deleted data on android but for the most part android cleans up after itself. If you look around the forum you will see the advice to go into an app and clear the cache put out there often, that is usually app specific. That app can't handle its trash. If you use a file manager to delete items it may make the items available for a time or indefinitely depending on the app and your preferences. On the whole though if you delete it android will overwrite it as soon as it needs the space. Most apps will clear their own cache when the phone is restarted or when the app is closed. Of course there are exceptions but I don't know of any one place on the device you can go and see deleted items and then have to delete them permanently.

You can get pics after you delete them because unlike other OS's android doesn't actually wipe the memory clean and could find the stuff on it with some digging

It won't wipe them but will start to overwrite the space they took up. If they are not overwritten there are a few apps that claim to be able to recover them, with some digging. I don't know of a file manager that would find them once they were deleted.
