How do I enable the Power Button Lock

I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 updated to Android Version 5.0 (KitKat).

Currently when I press the Power Button, the screen goes black. But it does not lock the screen.

I have the screen lock set to 30 seconds. But even so, there are lots of times when I have put the phone in my pocket and it accidentally it the home button before the 30 seconds is up and random apps get launched as my phone bounces around in my pocket.

So I would like to be able to press the power button and immediately have the screen lock. I was able to do this on my original Galaxy Nexus. But I cannot figure out how to do this on my Samsung.

I did some google searches and I found many many posts that said "go into settings, select lock screen, scroll to the very bottom and click the option to enable lock on power button."

The problem is, when I go into the Lock Screen settings and scroll down to the very bottom, I don't see any such option. So I'm very confused?

Anyone know how to enable the Power Button to immediately lock my phone?

Re: How do I enable the Power Button Lock

Welcome to the forums. There are different ROMs for different Samsungs, even the S5. For your particular ROM, the option was either removed by your carrier, or Samsung removed it in between the time those internet articles were written and the time you looked.

Is it dumb? Very. The power button by default should lock the screen.

Have you tried rebooting the device, or clearing the cache in recovery?
