My dog kicked my Samsung Galaxy S6 into a cup of lemonade and my phone made a weird nose. I picked it up quick and the noise ended. I wiped it off and the buttons all worked fine. I then put it in rice for an hour. I took it out after an hour and brought it to bed with me because I needed to set an alarm. When I woke up in the morning, the home button wasn't working. Everything else was working fine. I put it back in rice and left it there for another 6 hours. After taking it out, everything was working still except the home button. The fingerprint scanner still works, but pressing the button does nothing. Now, many days later, the button still isn't working. Please please please is there ANYTHING i can do to fix this button. PLEASE. Thank You

Liquid damage happens in 2 steps.
Initial step is shorting of electronics when the liquid enters phone. The more sugar and chemials in liquid the more likely you are to have that happen.
Second step is corrosion after the liquid starts to evaporate and leaves the chemicals behind. Often times with soft drinks the syrup and sugars can cause buttons to not make contact.
Putting your phone in rice for a hour did nothing. Rice takes time, lots of it as its a slow evaporation process. 24 hrs for minor liquid and 48 hrs for lots of liquid is a good rule of thumb.
Based on what I have read your more then likely going to need to take the phone apart ( or a good tech) and clean the unit and possibly replace the home button and look for other liquid damage.
