how do i fix my nexus 4????

I was listening to music and then it stopped and wouldn't play again so I naturally restarted the phone (worst decision of my life) anyways I tried to start it up again but it wouldn't start so confused me decided to google it and then found the volume down and power button trick, tried it nothing so I went on the google support website tried all they said and nothing worked.....

So let's get this straight - nothing you do does anything? The phone acts as if there's no battery in it?

You say 'worst decision of my life', but if nothing happened, I don't see why. I'd say from the info you've given: consider battery failure or some other internal electronic component failure.
