How do I fix the App notification counter?

Any idea why my icons aren't showing the notification counters on them?

And all my posts have been combined on this forum with a misleading title, and I can't figure out how to change the title? Any suggestions?

Ok Notifications, to adjust those settings, swipe down, and you may need to swipe twice and then click on the gear icon in the upper right, then click on Sound & Notification, then App Notification. You can adjust the settings in there.

I get the sound notifications, but not the little numbers in the icon itself. (Bad quality pic, took pic of pic, but you should be able to see the notification counters badge on the icon.)

Those settings SHOULD control both. Also make sure you are not silenced or anything like that. If you swipe down once you will see the Do Not Disturb setting, you can set it for total silence, or Alarms only, and possibly other settings, make sure Total Silence it not on.

I DO see numbers on your icons, those numbers represent the number of notifications you have for that app. 14 for Facebook for example.

I see the counts, very visible. Not sure what the OP is talking about!

Unless that was a before picture when it was working correctly. Did you install a third-party launcher? By chance?

That picture was taken of my Samsung screen just for reference of what I was talking about. I did a master reset, still no help.

Try messing with notifications related to the app itself. Turn on all the notifications to facebook or twitter and see if they show up. I have seen it show up before on another family members htc 10, but never on mine. The biggest difference was mine had every single notification off. Not sure if that is the reasoning or it was something else entirely.

Just wanted to chime in that I have the same problem with Fb and words with friends notifications. I do not get the counter on the icons. I've turned on all the notifications in the apps etc even reinstalled Fb. It's not a huge deal but annoying I can't figure out how to fix it.

I believe I figured out how to retitle this! Now if only we can get a solution! lol

I finally switched to Nova Launcher and use that notification counter. Not what I am happy with, though.
