How do I get password for my asus memo pad ME172V to decrypt storage

I can't get on my tablet because it is coming up with a black screen and saying enter password to decrypt storage and I don't know what that means never put any password in pls can you help me

It would appear that this is a design problem with ASUS - let the power die and the userdata partition gets corrupted enough to not mount.
