OK, picked up a used Droid Inc. for my oldest son and Ive got everything working great but there is one thing that I cant figure out. How do you get Android Market to update? His Inc. is on version 1.82 and I know that the Market is up to version 2.3.6. Is there a setting in there somewhere to turn auto updates on? When I go into the market and click on my apps it doesn't even let me do a manual update. Anyone have any ideas?

It should update automatically with no user input. Like with other OTA software updates, you have a small window to obtain them when they are pushed out. This might be the case with the marketplace.

Market usually updates itself after your first visit and download. I know for ASOP you can load GAPPS to get the market and other google apps, not sure what you need to do to force an update on Stock unrooted. I'll look around.

My DINC crashed for the first time in a year last week during a Market update (just cycled endlessly trying to update at least 10-12 apps). The next morning all apps on the phone did not work (force close errors), only ones on the SD card worked. But also my Market reverted back to the old version (1.82), and will not update back to the current version.

I've had to manually uninstall and reinstall my apps, and all seems to work well again with everything else, but my Market continues to be the old version. How can i fix this? (i've done clear data, etc in manage apps, but it still comes back in the old version). It's been several days now...
