How do I get Google Drive to stop showing an "uploading" notification?

I have a Google Drive notification that says "uploading 17 files," and it won't go away. It's been going for a couple days now. I've tried clearing the cache and force quitting, which gets rid of the notification but only until the next time I open the app. How do I make it go away? No similar posts have helped.
Note: I use a first-gen Pixel XL.
