Galaxy S5 heart rate monitor stuck "on" when the display is on

I updated to Lollipop today and ever since then the heart rate monitor has been stuck on, I've tried disabling the S Health app but that didn't seem to help. I was wondering if anyone could help me fix this?

Thanks!

I'm having the same issue too. Tried a hard and soft reset and that didn't work. Also opened every health app and updated it and that didn't work either.

Note I'm on sprint. So seems to be a wider issue than a carrier issue

Re: Galaxy S5 heart rate monitor stuck "on" when the display is on

FYI if you have an android wear watch.. Turn off the Google fit aspect.. Also if you have Google fit.. That's the cause of the heart rate issue

If you have Google fit, turn off motion tracking and it will fit the issue

This is still an issue with the latest Lollipop push on sprint, any fixes? I have tried everything listed and the light still stays on if anything is near the sensor when the display is on. Thanks

[Solved] Galaxy S5 heart rate monitor to get off of the on mode when the display is on?

Okay, so here is what I did:

I deleted the google fit app.

That didn't solve it so I tried doing the *#0*# thing.

That didn't work so I tried going to the S Health app and in the settings I turned the heart rate and stress monitor off and back on again. (S Health>more>manage items>the two features are towards the bottom of the page)

That solved it for me, I'm not sure if it is a permanent fix. But it will work until samsung fixes it.

Hope I helped 😀
