Android Central Question

Phone was laid down on a wet table. I got a message that said there was no liquid or debris in phone and that USB port was ok to use. But when I try to charge, the icon that indicates charging comes on but phone doesn't charge.

Please confirm that you did get a message that stated there was no water damage. Do you recall its exact phrasing? Typically there is no assertion message popping up when a phone isn't wet since that's the normal state any phone should be in, the moisture sensor will only getting triggered when it does detect a problem.
Or are you instead referring to the LDI (Liquid Detector Indicator) on your Pixel by the SIM card slot? If that is what you're relying upon, since the battery isn't actually getting charged perhaps its just a coincidental, one-off glitch. Have you at least tried restarting your phone?

I don't recall the phrasing, but it said there was no liquid inside phone and USB port could be used. I did restart phone. Left it in rice for 36 hours and it began to charge when I tried. Went from 17% to 22% and then started going down. I turned if off when it reached 20%. Took out SIM card to aid in air flow.

Welcome to AC!
Have you tried my suggestion?

Welcome to Android Central! The Pixel 6 line is water resistant -- I'm curious if this is an issue with the cable if you've already tried Mustang's suggestion. Have you switched cables and outlets to rule that out?
