So last night at 1am my phone woke me up by beeping about a verizon software update that will help the performance of my htc rhyme. Okay, whatever. Over the next ten minutes there was buzzing, bright lights and more beeping. Yadda yadda. So this morning when I check my phone everything seems fine except my bookmarks. The phone came with like seven to ten preinstalled bookmarks all of which id deleted - two of them accidentally but realized I didn't really need them anyhow. Now, all those bm are back and I was able to delete them all except for three: Google, VZW home and my Verizon. I can't find anyway to get rid of them now. And they're just sitting at the top my bm list annoying me. Anyone else get this update or know how to delete these bm bc the option to delete isn't even available w a long press.
Thanks.

HTC, Big Red, and Google probably have them locked in. See if you can move them to the bottom of the list so you don't have to look at them.

Side note: super cool that they're pushing out an update!

Except that when they were originally on the phone I managed to delete them albeit accidentally. I don't understand why they can't be deleted now after this update.
Anyone else have any answers on how to get rid of those specific three bm?

Bueller? Bueller?

Has no one else had an update and suddenly stuck w these bookmarks that were previously delete-able?

You may not be able to get rid of those bm's anymore. Just like you can't easily delete vznav, vcast, and all the other verizon bloatware. I would say your best bet is to reach out to HTC if you really can't live with those bm's.
