Android Central Question

I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Tab A. I just updated to Android version 7.1.1. After I did, a small round grey icon -- with what appears to be a pen or highlighter in the middle of it -- appeared on the right side of my screen. Pressing it and holding on it doesn't do anything.
Any ideas on how to remove it?

It looks that it is some type of editing program. Does the pen thing goes away when you open a app? This sounds like a feature something samsung added when you got the update. If you want it removed you could disable the system app that adds this to your home screen. Or you could go back to the previous update you were using. I don't know any other options to remove that pen thing, sorry.

After only 3 hours of trying to figure it out on the LGV10 my solution was Accessibility-Motor&Cognition-Touch Assist- turn this off. No idea how it was turned on and I'm sure I just changed a bunch of other crap but this was my solution. I know I need newer phone but love it and until it breaks. Now to figure why my fingerprint access was removed😴
