How do I get rid of this?

Any YouTube video or music app I've used is showing up above the notifications on the pull down menu, and they keep waking the phone screen up periodically. How do I get rid of these? I've closed all apps, restarted the phone, etc, but I cannot get this to go away. You cannot close it by swiping left or right either.

Do get a cog/settings icon if you swipe that notification to the left? If so, tap it and change the persistent notification there.

This is with Spotify, for example. You'd need to expand the notification twice to have it under the quick settings panel.

Nope, if you try to swipe left or right it just snaps back with no settings cog available once you reach the end of the apps there.

It is built into the system with Android 11. I don't think you can get rid of it, unless there is something in the aettings

I have YouTube Premium and when I pause or stop a video I get this same, tile, not sure what else to call it, in my notifications. I can swipe it away. I don't have any audio apps that do this so I can't verify what might happen with another app, but YouTube swipes away just like every other notification block. Not sure why yours would be different.

To those leaving advice have any of you actually tried to recreate the condition and test if you are able to swipe? I'm curious because I want to know why it works for me and not you or why it works for us and not the OP?

To the OP, I'm running stock everything. OS, UI and standard YouTube app and nothing that I can think would affect notification or notification behavior.

I did have the issue during the 3.0 beta earlier this year. But I rarely use media on my Samsung these days. So no I haven't recreated it as yet.

Hit the down arrow on the notification and click on the x
Nope, this is what I get with the down arrow- no X to click to remove it.

If I click on the tile in the pull down menu, it just opens the associated app. There is no "click twice". I've been through the app settings. I don't see anything that would cause this.

Well shoot... I'm not sure then. That works for me, and I don't have this issue, even with Spotify.

You don't have to click the tile but slide the notification. Sometimes that notification only appears below the quick settings tiles when you fully expand the status bar.

I can slide it down only once and you can see the screenshot of that above. Sliding left or right just results in it snapping back to center. There are no settings available anywhere.

Did you come up with anything?

I noticed that you also have a YouTube tile in your regular notification list. I never get that. Either I disabled it so long ago that I don't remember or you have something enabled that I don't. Is that from using the "bell" feature of YT? I currently don't have any channels with notifications. I wouldn't expect that to cause an issue like this.

I literally have twice now purposefully opened and paused a video to recreate the notification condition and tried different things. I really hoped that someone else would at least try to create the condition so that we could say if one action or condition was normal. It seems odd that it would not be dismissible and the only difference I noticed between our two notification shades is I have the brightness slider enabled. That got me to looking around and I found a setting that you could try to disable and see if that cures your condition. To get to this setting, pull the notification shade down twice>touch the three dots in the upper corner>Quick panel layout. There you'll find 3 options, two of which deal with media in the notifications. I'll post screenshots from TapaTalk.

I searched for that, but my phone doesn't have that.
Which S21 do you have? I guess that may be the difference. It doesn't explain why they would make it difficult to swipe away but each version has slightly different software. I have the Ultra.
