How do i get stereo sound using 2 powered speakers each with a Chromecast audio

You can buy powered speakers and connect each of them with a Chromecast audio, but what if you put two speakers in the same room? Will the two Chromecast audios give you stereo output? That is, will one speaker be left Channel and the other speaker be right Channel? The 3.5mm mini jack delivers stereo but left and right channels will be merged in the speaker itself. No?

Nope. Chromecast audio will output the same audio stream on all connected devices. No channel separation, I'm afraid (so surround sound is also out of the question here). UNLESS your speaker has an L/R selector built in. Like you said, the Chromecast will output both channels, but if you are able to separate one from the other, you can do Stereo. That means that you can also 'hack' the cable into separating each channel for each speaker.
