How do I get videos from sd card to show in gallery?

Seems I can only sort videos from local storage in the gallery. Is there a way to show videos from sd card?

On the SD card, which directory are the videos in? Use a file manager app to make sure there isn't a .nomedia file in that directory.

I moved them into the Samsung Gallery folder in the sd card, rebooted the phone, tried clearing gallery cache and still nothing. Even tried installing the Samsung video folder from the galaxy store and they don't show in there either.

Did you create the "Samsung Gallery" folder yourself, or was that created by the Gallery app automatically? Did you look for a .nomedia file in that directory like I suggested?

No, the folder was created by the SD card I guess because there's a bunch of empty folders when I click into SD card. As for that no media file, I don't see it.

Ok, so back to my previous question -- can you see photos saved on the SD card in your Gallery app? Is the problem limited to videos?

As a test, copy a photo to your SD card and see if it shows up in your Gallery app under the SD card folder.

I switched camera storage to sd card and took a pic. When I go into gallery and albums I now have 2 Camera albums and one of them has the sd card icon with the photo i just took.
