How to hide apps on the Samsung Galaxy Light

Hi everyone. I recently bought the Samsung Galaxy Light and was wondering how I can hide apps from view in the app menu and photo albums from my gallery? I hit the menu button on both screens to display a popup settings menu but I don't seen an option to hide anything. Also, it wont let me scroll in the popup menu to see more options. I have the MetroPCS version of the Light. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

To hide pictures, create a file named .nomedia (nothing to the left of the dot) in the folder the pictures are in. (Use a file manager.)

You can't hide apps in the app drawer. If you want to get rid of the shortcuts to the apps on the homescreen, long-press them, then drag them to the trash (or Remove - I can't remember TouchWiz any more).
