how to hide auto backup folder from android gallery

i saw it is very common problem some people do not want to see their auto backup folder in gallery but they dont want to delete their picture from backup account either . it is very simple just open your phone gallery and click option in phone gallery there you will see a option named content to display . uncheck the content in picasa. and you are good to go . you can also hide facebook or any other synced folders .

Thanks for the tip. Just remember that not all manufacturers have included these options or have placed them elsewhere (for instance, Samsung Phones used to have those in the Gallery menu, and they've been moved to the Account settings on newer devices).

Re: how to hide auto backup folder from android gallery

Given that this is the Nexus5x forum and the 5x gallery is the Photos app which doesn't have options to blacklist folders for display in app (only options to blacklist folders for backup to the cloud) then the right answer needs to be given.

Put a '.nomedia' file into any folder to hide it's contents (and it's subfolders) contents from the Android Media Scanner, and thus the Photos app.
