How do I kill this account?

It bloat ware Verizon installed you will need to root to get rid of it.

It fouls up everything and they try to activate in the store hen you buy a phone unless you stop them.

When I activated my phone, the woman handed it to me to put in my gmail credentials and I didn't hand it back until after I skipped the setup for Backup Assistant... but then the phone started giving me error notifications\saying that it couldn't sync until I went in and set it up! On my Bionic I could disable it like any other bloatware, but on the Maxx, the disable button is grayed out.

It is attached to this app: https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...d=com.vcast.mediamanager&hl=en&token=t2cRGMu6

But I can't find it in my apps. When I go to play.google.com it says that it's installed on my phone, but where?

Possibly Sync Service? Because this is what I did with my phone and I don't get any sync from BA+.

i've looked into this but haven't figured it out. older threads for other phones on various forums indicate that you need to go onto your vzw and disable the backup assistant feature, then it will uninstall.

I have disabled it in the past and I have no issues so its worth a try.

Where specifically do I go to disable it?
How do you like your TSX? I have a 2012 Tech Package - Vortex Blue Pearl

First, attempt to disable Sync Settings in your phones application list. I posted images of it above. I just checked My Verizon and I didn't see anything for contacts and such but make sure cloud storage is off within features. Use the My Verizon application though since that's where I'm looking now. I'm going to keep checking.

TSX is awesome but I had the ball joints replaced due to popping. Its a 2012 with Tech just like yours. If you haven't noticed it yet pay attention when its 90 and above for popping that you hear and feel in the brake pedal. :) Its a known issue and there is a TSB for it.

Just so everyone knows there is no way to "disable" BA+ like we can other applications. The best you can do is disable the sync by following my instructions above.

Thanks, I had already done this, just was making sure. No ball joint issue for me up here in Ohio. We never got above 90 very much this summer.

Lucky you. Its a known issue too but not everyone notices it nor has it. I could even feel it by turning my wheel while in park because it was not buttery smooth.
