how do i make a nandroid update?

rom manager does not work with the optimus V, so I am wondering how I do this.

Use the custom recovery posted by mmmark111 I used it to root, make my recover and back up my phone before I flashed a custom rom.

First, have you rooted and/or installed a custom ROM? If not, use my program here. Once the program finishes, it will put your phone into recovery mode where you will be able to make a nandroid backup. All automated with hardly any effort

I have already rooted it but have not done any custom rom yet. I want to do the gingerbread CM7 rom
