How do I make my Gear Live work with Google Keep?

I installed the new Google Keep app on my phone to work with my new Gear Live. But the Gear Live doesn't seem to recognize it. Notes to self are sent to my email instead of keep, and I cannot find me reminders in keep (or anywhere)

Do you see the Keep app on your watch?

If not and it is installed on your phone, go into the Android Wear app on your phone, tap the gear icon in the top right, then tap your watch name ("Samsung Gear Live"), and select "Resync apps".

After doing this, give it a while... Sometimes it takes 15 minutes or so to fully transfer everything. Then check for the Keep app on the watch again.
