Ok, second question - do you mean you want the phone carrier to not know where the phone is? Or just your apps?

I just want to be able to configure my phone so a person can not track where I am. There is a particular person that I fear is tracking where I am via my samsung galaxy note 3.

Turn off gps, stop any location updates in individual app settings especially any social media apps, turn off location info in camera apps. When taking selfies watch that there are no identifiable store or street signs or buildings in background.
