How do I make Note 2 go into MTP mode whenever I connect it to a PC?

My Verizon Galaxy Note 2 used to automatically go into MTP mode whenever I connect it to a PC.
It allowed me to immediately start copying to or from the phone to the PC.

I reset the phone to factory default after the 4.4.2 update. Since then, the phone always connect
in installer mode. I have to manually check the MTP box every single time that I connect it to a PC.

Is there a way to make it go into MTP mode all the time?

Go to Settings>storage>menu>USB computer connection. See if that works.
