How to move from 128gb S6 to S7 (32gb)???

I know the S7 has an SD card slot and i bought a nice 128gb SD card for that, but how do i initially set it up? I have 43gb used on my S6. So i assume i can store all photos and music on the Sd card? I'm afraid if i go to install everything from my backup, its going to be beyond 100% full?

How do i set it up? Big internal storage seems so much easier!

Welcome to Android Central! I'm not sure how Smart Switch handles things when the destination phone has less internal storage than the source phone. I would definitely agree with moving media (photos, videos, music) to a directory on the new SD card. If these media files take up a lot of internal storage space on the S6, then you could delete them all once you've copied them to the SD card (and double checked to make sure the files transferred intact). That might make it easier for Smart Switch to transfer data to the S7.

I have the same problem. The S6 doesn't have an SD card slot so I'm not sure how I would transfer any data in advance, other than having to go through my PC which would be painful.

If to have one of those aftermarket OTG 3-in-One cables, you can move things directly to the sdcard on the S7.

Or you could use the small OTG block that comes with the S7, without going through SmartSwitch using the file manager.
