How do I move icons on a Tab s 8.4 from one screen to another.

How do I move icons on a Tab s 8.4 from one screen to another.
I can only get them to appear multiple times on the home screen.
I have a Tab A and it's simple.

Long-press the icon, slide it in the direction of the desired screen, then drop where you want it.
To remove superfluous ones, long-press and slide up to Remove, where they'll be returned to the app drawer.
It sounds as if you're adding icons from the app drawer, and therefore getting copies, rather than moving icons from one Home screen to another; unless I've misunderstood you.

As you get it to the edge of the screen, try "pushing it into the plastic", and the screen should scroll horizontally, to the next screen.
